11U RED TAKES CHAMPIONSHIP
The LJB 11U Red team is off to a fantastic start to the 2010-11 season by winning the Championship at the 12th Annual ECTB Halloween Bonanza played in Allentown over the Halloween weekend.
After losing a close first game, the boys fought back to win four straight games, scoring a total of 42 runs, and giving up 27. Great pitching and defense in game 3 and consistent hitting in game 4 put LJB in the final game of the tournament against the Lower Salford BlackJackets.
LJB took an early lead in the final game, scoring 8 runs in the first two innings, but the BlackJackets weren't going down without a fight, scoring 7 runs in the third and fourth innings. Although LJB scored another 4 runs, it all came down to the final inning of the championship game, and the BlackJackets were in a position to tie the score. But LJB was able to hold them with solid defensive plays, giving 11U Red the Championship victory with a final score of 12-10.
Congratulations 11U Red!!

The softball community came together to raise money for Sam's family while having a great time on the field.
The Lady Stormers strive to be a community-minded organization, and this was a great way to make their first public appearance.
Congratulations Lady Stormers, and good luck, Sam!!
