Mission and Philosophy

The Lancaster Junior Barnstormer teams that are being established will be elite performance oriented Triple Crown, AAU and USSSA youth organization teams (ages 10-18) that will have a solid foundation and one that can compete against any team along the East Coast and Mid-Atlantic region. The ultimate goals for these teams will be to qualify and play in one of the annual National Triple Crown, AAU and USSSA Tournaments in 2010.

We will strive in our program to field the best baseball TEAM with the best baseball players. Our ingredients to individual improvement are 3-fold: top notch instruction + playing with great players + playing against great competition = individual improvement. We will care about all our players improving their baseball skills, and we will do this all within the framework of the most important thing--TEAM. We will push our players to strive to be the best possible Son, Student, Citizen and Player they can possibly be.

We will develop a fundraising program that will help supplement the costs of travel baseball. At the same time, with every team fundraising project that we implement we will in turn perform some type of community service for Lancaster County. Two of the community services in which the LJB’s have participated in the past couple of years are Lancaster General and Hershey Medical Center Blood Drives and the Adopt an Angel program.

The Lancaster Junior Barnstormers Baseball Club players will find themselves playing in some of the finest facilities in America. Some of these include: Cal Ripken Jr.'s youth baseball complex in Aberdeen, MD and Sports at the Beach complex in Rehoboth Beach, DE.

We are proud to announce that the LJB’s will be hosting their first Lancaster County Memorial Day Tournament bringing hundreds of families into our great community. Our 12U team will represent the program by playing in Cooperstown, NY at Cooperstown Dreams Park, home of the Youth Baseball Hall of Fame. This 96 team tournament has proven to be the Williamsport of Travel Baseball.

When it is all said and done, all of the 2010 Lancaster Junior Barnstormers Baseball Club players will have great instruction, improvement in their individual games, understand the importance of teamwork, have a great time, and have an experience that they will never forget!!
